Seems like the every latest ver of windows, there is less support for legacy hardware. did a fresh install of 1709 on my dell t5500. it couldn't wake up from sleep properly and also had a few random lock up after showing the windows desktop from loading the start screen. I think a lot of this has to do with bios and MB and chipset incompatibility ? the first windows 10 build ran fine on my dell t5500 with 1366 socket...

I wonder if windows server 2016 is the same....

I have the same experience with my super old media pc, for some reason the video card gt7600 is not detected anymore.
Luckily I found a post online of someone with similar issues and he pointed where to download compatible drivers and all is good to go.

not sure what exactly is the cause of my lock up. don't even know where to start ;(... just revert back to old win10 and everything is good again... guess I will have to stay with the older ver... the problem is that newer video cards like gtx 1060 wont even let you install the driver unless you have at least win10 1607. I imagine it will come a day when you will have to have at least 1709.

tried a more recent gtx 950 and it gave the same not coming out of sleep on the dell t5500. tried the old firegl 3750 on a 2011 v1 and that came out of s3 sleep fine. this proves that it's really have to do with the x58 incompletely compatible...
