Why don’t Dell or HPE have AMD tower server options ?

just curious why HPE and Dell don’t have any tower options with AMD CPU ?
I would have thought there was some demand from engineers etc like the intel systems (or is it maybe a case of all the applications used are all only intel certified or heavily use AVX512 maybe)

Well, not from HPE or Dell, but Gigabyte has at least one:
I think that tower as the server is generally really meant for smb, where very high core count isn't as critical, plus in general this whole class of devices is in process of being replaced by edge servers.

I guess could be either of those reasons, I kind of expected a market for CAD, Engineering etc.

Have seen a lot of intel boxes (Single and dual socket) deployed below desks but realized AMD still wasn’t an option.

Same in the professional workstation market. Threadripper Pro is a step in the right direction but not all major workstation vendors have them.

Still, a small market in terms of volume that has unique demands and not a huge appreciable premium.
