Supermicro CS747 case has 4 fans in middle area (2 for CPU and 2 for GPU).
CPU: this is the FAN-0114L4 model:

Questions:
- Why couldn't they have installed the more powerful FAN-0138L4 model in the CPU area from the factory? Processors now have quite high TDP, and this parameter is increasing. Also, there are RAM modules in the CPU area that also need to be cooled effectively. With the same fan dimensions, it would be possible to achieve +50 CFM.
- Is this a cost-saving approach, or is it an engineering feature to reducing the electrical load on the motherboard? I'm referring to the fact that the more powerful FAN-0138L4 have a rated current of 2.24 A versus 1.10 A.
- If I have spare FAN-0138L4s, can I replace the weaker FAN-0114L4s with FAN-0138L4 without any negative consequences?? MB: Supermicro H12SSL
