Which M2 SSDs would you be comfortable in setting up in Raid 5 (4 drives) to be used in FreeNAS and then served to ESXi for VM storage? Not to be used in datacenter so be price conscious but i've had a horrible time with Samsung 850 Pro SSDs used in raid configuration.

Thanks!

SATA or NVMe ?
Can you accept 110mm length as most enterprise ones with PLP are 110 vs the 80 for most consumer SSD.

Not much in he intel line
DC P3100 and the p600 are not exactly fast drives, the Samsung SM or PM in 861 or 961 form are solid drives.
There is a few not super fast options around like micron etc.

Actually looking at your requirements again of RAID for a data store I can’t think of many I would use. Part of me would prefer just to go with SAS3 drives for that use but I guess space is the issue.
