I recently picked up a BR10i off of eBay and the only thing I am missing is a bracket. Does anyone have a lead on where I might get one?

Thanks.

I'd be interested in this as well. I ended up hacking up a bracket from an old Promise PCI controller. Only the bottom mounting hole lines up with the bracket, so I bent out the upper screw tab so it wouldn't touch the board. I also drilled a hole for the LED light pipes, but you don't care about having lights on the rear panel you could just trim them down with a razor blade or snap the whole light pipe assembly off.

Did you find a place to order them?
I'm trying to do the same thing, but for the IBM M1015.

Patrick, I get the impression you have a few different RAID/HBA cards. Could you post measurements of the spacing on these? I would imagine that they would use the same spacing within a series, ie. all 92xx and re-brands might be physically the same.

What do you mean spacing? Like the card dimensions (LxH)? All of them only take up one expansion slot.

The LSI 9211 is 6.6” x 2.713” (MD2 Low-Profile). BTW you can look these up yourself on LSI/IBMs website....just sayin.

I just got 2- brand new, BR10i's off e-bay for 18.50 Each plus $5 shipping for the pair, so a $19 racket would be more that the board.

What part # did you order from purcell? There are a lot of different parts in the list. What was your cost, and how many in a minimum order?

Should I just get "HighwayRrobbed" from SCSI4ME?

any for sale?

Maybe I can just buy a cheap USB adaptor borad for $10 to get the bracket of the board, and throw away the board? Maybe I can look in the scrap heap?

Brackets for the BR10i

Good News:

I bought two of these cards a while ago on e-bay for 18.50 each plus shipping. They did not come with the brackets either. After looking for a while finally, I found a source for them. I am not sure how many they have to sell, but I saw an e-bay add for them saying that you could buy the bracket with the card which they were selling (not a bad price) for $50 ea. and $5 extra for the Bracket. I emailed them and they wrote back saying that they would sell them for $5 each plus shipping. Better than getting Highway Robbed!!

I rigged mine...

I picked some up @ a PC recycling store (RE-PC). The hole alignment was right, but the offset was a bit too high.

I cut off the bottom peg, and crewed in a screw in the top one with a rubber washer/grommet from an HDD mount. Holds in place nicely with top pressure.
