What happend to the OCZ RM1616? 16TB + 13GB/s

I'm building a new SAN/NAS and looking to go with a new Intel PCIe Tier 1 storage such as a Intel P3700 followed by a large array of slower Tier 2/3 SAS drives and roughly 20-50TB storage.

BUT what happen to the OCZ RM1616!!!! I want the storage space and speed of this!

I feel like that was an ultra awkward conversation to listen to. This is just a bunch of SandForce 2000 series drives in RAID. PCIe 2.0 only so limited speed anyway.

Since that happened, OCZ went bankrupt and Toshiba bought what was remaining.

Because consumers don't want to pay for a 2TB device that fails because on nand chip goes bad!

Niche of http://www.fusionio.com/products/iodrive-octal and similar products is too narrow for manufactures to pursue: there're not so many customers who need big PCI-e ssds.
