Hello All
I got a batch of 4 10tb WD100EMAZ out of easystores and I am looking for a decent NAS to put them to use.
I was looking at the QNAP tvs-951x but i'm not sure if the drives will work in it without doing the 3.3v tape mode.
Any one already using them on QNAP nases ?

Thanks in advance.

Just put a pair of them (for now) in to a TS-932X and they were recognised. It's essential the same NAS but with different motherboard/cpu I believe. So I'd expect them to work.

I saw a few reports on easystore/elements threads elsewhere with people using them in QNAPs, can't find them now, but all the ones I saw indicated no 3.3v problem on QNAPs.

I have no issue with my qnap 1635ax and the 8tb WD whites, that being said i got a tiny roll of kapton for under 2$ on amazon (needed it for h310 it mode flash). Ive used less than 5% of the roll.

I am running a QNAP TVS-951X here right now with 10TB WD Whites with no tape mod needed. I am not 100% sure if all Whites will work, some may be different. Pop them in and see if they work, if not do a tape mod.
