hmm, you can't compare to "Raritan" generically because the raritan have vastly different product lines too.

if it works and does what you want, great... base it on your needs :)

I have a few WebPowerSwitch.com units I was messing around with for my home, they're not beast-datacenter products but they work... I haven't used them in years, but their site redirects and they look in business!! This could be another option but more $ than the used ebay prices on the enterprise gear.

This particular WattBox is OK but beware of newer ones that require an OvrC account for most of the settings. If you buy used it will most likely have been registered by the original owner and OvrC will not transfer ownership to you so the device is almost useless. However, the one you listed allows you full control including scheduling on/off. The 800 series are nice because they will display power consumption per outlet. I have a couple of them and have been able to make them a bit more usable by editing the config file but scheduling require OvrC.

EDIT - Avoid the 700 series. They contain bad caps that will fail. eBay is full of "Parts Only" listings for these.
