External water cooling achieved:

That Pentium 4 OCed to 4 GHz running Prime95 isn't going above 46C.

D5 impeller received and the EK-Loop pump works correctly again!

In other news it appears the 7600GS in the above computer died :( am using a highly overclocked 8400GS PCI now which seems just as fast if not faster.

2x14mm extenders replaced in my main, backup rig now has a Black Nickel drain valve, Retro Rig external WC now has a black Torque drain valve and a 20mm extender on the radiator to PC hose so the hose can be routed under the rad itself.

Next spring or so, i'll be tearing the loop in my main down as the CPU block and reservoir are seriously dirty. Temps are fine though.

Speaking of my main, I was playing some Cyberpunk earlier and my computer black screened and then shut down. After that, I tried to run y-cruncher and the Radeon Software stress test and it again did the same.

PSU too weak?

OCP of what? The GPU? Unlikely, it's a goddamn 6900 XT Toxic, one of the best VRMs for RDNA2.

Mobo? C8DH is a dailyalbe XOC board.

PSU OCP? Plausible?!
I can't imagine that someone who buys a 6900 XT and a C8DH choose a power supply that is too weak.

System has been running fine for over a year by now until I tried CP2077. I have now undervolted my GPU significantly though, maybe it was just a transient triggering the OCP.

Not the PSU. Tested with the Ion+ powering the computer itself and my bench/testing setup it's HX1200 powering the 6900 XT.

Guess it's the shit die contact of the Bykski block. Oh well, there goes €160 for a Alphacool block :(

Decided to try something else instead: plastic washers. Seems like I have finally tamed the hotspot temperature at last, not going above 85C with the Radeon Software stress test.

Speaking of washer modding, I had some spare washers so I modded a HD 7870 XT I got out of a free computer. Dropped 10 degrees in 3DMark Vantage!

Or what about a 50 degree temp drop on the VRMs of my water cooled RX480 in my old system? Even at 1.25V it won't go over 85C running S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly maxed out!

YES! Acquired a sanely priced HD 3850 AGP for the retro rig!

Also bettered my FSU PB again, this was run with a MorePowerTool-ed power limit, set to 460W.
