I always upgrade to the latest version immediately.
That means ES CPUs have a problem with newer versions of Lightroom Classic. No matter what I do, my imports are stuck with huge stalls and low CPU usage. My workstation imports photos blazing fast Lightroom 8.x, acceptable speed with lightroom 10.x and complete sluggishness with 12 and higher.

I am pretty sure this is a hardware issue, as problem does not go away with clean OS. Same Lightroom version imports also works extremely fast with a standard i7 raptor lake.

Hello!
I managed to build a w790 system for cheap (Asrock W790 R2.0 for 500 and a w3-2423 for 100 bucks) but I am getting bad latency and bandwidth numbers with mlc, around 110ns and only about 76GB/s. The memory is Corsair WS 5600 runnin at 4400mhz and 28-28-28-64 timings. Is this because the cpu is just 6 cores with 2ghz mesh? Or because I only have 4 sticks of 1Rx8 ram (1DPC) ?
