1. Quadro 4000 - low power - good to go $200 video card - can support 8 vSVGA vm's at once (limited to ram of video card)

2. ESXi 5.1 driver supports quadro 4000,5000,6000,Tesla(??) video cards! the 4000 is a great bet since it uses little power and vsvga kind of sucks (dx 9 limit,256meg limit).

3. Soon they will add more cards, people are working on hacking cards geforce to work as well!

4. Ability to run hackintosh with QE/CI? maybe! using windows 7 mode!

5. Vmotion to hosts without video cards with realtime fallback to software 3d mode! no VT-d limits! (nor gains).

Basically esxi runs X, divvies up the goods, and you get limited 3D support - its not perfect but it's better than svga! Gains tend to be in light 2D CAD work only!

more to come! Host will be a MAC PRO 4,1 ! now to get those l5639's installed!
