no 8222CL with VRM modd and BIOS 2.29.0. never had 6268CL. to expensive, this is normaly a sign for wide compatiblility, the highcurrent CPUs are cheaper because the limited compat.
Directly flashing BIOS from USB never worked for some reason so I ended up installing Windows to update my BIOS. Did it somewhat gradually with a few intermediate updates and successfully updated to 2.29.0.

Sadly, still same issue, no video output, seems like USB devices turned off, but system stays powered on.

(Also tried CMOS reset and GPU/monitor/cable swap before BIOS updates, same thing.)

At this point I might try to hunt for an HP z6/z8 g4 instead...

hello ZolloZ170 , I am using server 6019U-TN4R4T, motherboard is X11DPU rev 1.1. I have 10 motherboards like this now, with a very strange problem. When I used 8272CL and 8275CL, there were 5 servers that could use 8272CL/8275CL directly. The remaining 5 servers are unusable (the CPU is not hot when starting the system, it seems that it cannot be recognized). What should I do now? Will using what you instructed here work?

some X11DPU-G6 (Nutanix) can already run TDC=255A processors. it is not a surprise some not, depends on field usage.
Will using what you instructed here work?
get a Adafruit MCP2221a,
i made a c# console app for automatic programming ( MCP2221a_iccmax_FF(10052024).7z ) vrm PXE1610C
Remove the JVRM1/2 jumpers and connect the I2C :
JVRM1 pin2 = SCL
JVRM2 pin2 = SDA
T-SGPIO1 Header Pin3/6 = GND
or TPM/PORT80 Header (JTPM1) Pin 6 = GND
(or any other GND pin)

JVRM1 and JVRM2 have 3 Pins. remove Jumper and connect to Pin2(middle)
JVRM1 pin2 = SCL
JVRM2 pin2 = SDA
edit: TPM/PORT80 Header (JTPM1) Pin 6 = GND

VRM controller addresses are 50 and 52.

I have a feeling that video might not happen. "Best way" btw to run down this outfit to the level of stackoverflow or reddit is to keep abusing the helpfulness of the old dogs on here. By people with near zero comments saying "gimme gimme". Until they just burn out and leave.

but if i need modding for Dell R740 or some one model. how to find ADDRESS with MCP2221A
EVC supports not write to Page register in detection area.
download MCP2221 Terminal and do a Bus scan. then try each address.
Dell T640, R640, R740 is here

Does anyone have information on MAXIM MAX16500?
Datasheet not published. I'm having trouble canceling current limit.
MAX16500 is used in the TYAN S7100 and S7105 that I own.
I contacted MAXIM support.
It seems that only companies that use the chip can receive data sheets.

the mainly intention here is not to increase the maximum current.
we change the MFR info value ICC_MAX.
MAX16500 is used in the TYAN S7100 and S7105 that I own.
I contacted MAXIM support.

the hardest nut i had to crack so far was the Primarion PXE1610C controller, no public datasheet.
with a Evaluation Kit and reverse engineering the Manufacturer Design SOftware i was able to access and change PW protected register values.

Then my problem is I can't change ICC_MAX.
I want to change the maximum current that can be provided to the CPU by changing the ICC_MAX value.

I will try to find out if there is an evaluation kit for max16500.

Then my problem is I can't change ICC_MAX.
no this is manufacturer custom value.
Usualy the PCH Firmware reads the ICC_MAX value of the VRM and compares it with the TDC value (read per DMI from CPUid registers)
i.e: if the ICC_MAX is 228A and the TDC of the CPU is 255A the CPU is helt in reset.

I don't know the official register name because the data sheet for MAX16500 has not been published.
i support MPS MP2955A, TI MPS53679 and Infineon/Primarion PXE1610C,
they all use different register schematics. they share just Page(0) and some status registers like actual voltages and currents.

Hi everyone, i have FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY RX2530 M4 use MP2955A. But i can't find the jumpers VRM. I want to try change tdc normal of bios of server. Does anyone know where its pin is located? Thanks all

only Supermicro uses Jumpers on dual socket boards.
sometimes there is only a unpopulated 3pin header somewhere, or nothing with bad luck.
the only way is to track/trace the SDA/SCL signals from the MP2955A.

i have only a CX2550 M4 board, it uses Renesas ISL69127 VRM controller.
there is 3pin Header PJ1, maybe you find similar on your RX2530 M4.
