Hello, I'm from China. I'm using an X11DPI-N in a 5U chassis with an 8171m. After powering on, there's no video output, but the fans are spinning. The BIOS version is 4.4. Would modifying the ICC_MAX setting help?

The power supply of R740 is too weak, only 4 items or less, and it is unstable even if it is modified to be usable
I gave up Dell R740 mod. I purchased a QWIIC cable and a new MCP221A card, but I still couldn't change the TDP. It might be due to the fact that my BIOS has been updated to version 2.21.

Downgrading BIOS and BMC, I have also encountered similar issues with R640, luckily it is not an OTP. If you don't want to cut off the I2C cable, you can only do this.

So it took me a while to get back to this.

X11SPW-TF and X11DDW-NT confirmed

X11SPW-TF was completely straight forward. Jvrm header was scl pin 1, sda pin 2, ground pin 3. NOTE: I have not checked the nutanix version of this board (-NI22) as updating the bios means I need to do the bios update the hard way.

X11DDW-NT was SCL JVRM1 pin 2, SDA JVRM2 pin 2, ground i used pin 3 from the SGIO header. This was when I realized there are no usb 2.0 headers on the board lol. I still need to check the bios support for the CL cpus but so far so good with 8171m

Edit: 8259cl confirmed working on stock bios 4.4 after the vrm mod. @OP your awesome ... now to get 3 nodes built out...

Hello, may I ask which BIOS and IDRAC version you have downgraded to? Please let me know, Thanks.

Downgrading to the random versions of 2023 and 2022 can be done with pxe1610c. The number of rewritable times is 14. I hope this is not the reason for this

the issue is: no devices are found on that R740, not even unsupported VRM controllers like for PCH, RAM etc.

Good afternoon, I have a supermicro board
X11DPI-N and an intel SRF89 processor (Intel Xeon 8272CL), I took the latest bios from the supermicro website, flashed it, it didn't start, I found the microcode:
cpu50657_platBF_ver05000014_2018-12-17_PRD_E1FFC46B
it didn't start,
I added a second microcode cpu50657_platBF_ver0500001C_2019-01-28_PRD_E5C5BC5E it also didn't start, I added microcodes via Mmtool, either I'm doing something wrong, or does this mean that the VRM needs to be updated?

I have cp2112 will it fit for VRM mod?
you have to write your own software.
i do support ElmorLabs EVC (XML script) and MCP2221a ( with my c# CLI )
new: CLI for EVKT-USBI2C-02 beta stage.

you have X11DPi-N revision 2.0 or higher ?
if not e.g. rev 1.21 don't work.

вам придется написать собственное программное обеспечение.
у вас X11DPi-N версии 2.0 или выше?
если нет, то например rev 1.21 не работает.
[/ЦИТИРОВАТЬ] версия x11dpi-nt rev 2.01
