Rollo, does this apply to all Mobos? I would like to update ME all the way to close some of the security flaws that have been found in it.ASRock C741 series supports ONLY E-Stepping ES/QS/PRD processors, same than supermicro/Tyan.
(maybe the BIOS of ASRockRack/Tyan can be modded,)
Currently ALL Gigabyte C741 boards support D0 stepping SPR-SP ES. if you update BIOS, don't update Intel ME.

I get this same error with a Lenovo P920. Booted to bios. Here’s how everything is connected.I need help. I've read through all 6 pages about 10 times, but for the life of me can not figure out how to update my VRMs.
I've executed this with 1 CPU installed & without and with power on and off (still plugged in). I've also tried a bus scan (from 10 to 7F), but can never detect the VRMs. What am I doing wrong? Motherboard is a Supermicro X11DPU
MCP2221a_iccmax_FF.exe -PXE1610C 50
MCP2221a_iccmax_FF.exe -PXE1610C 52

i think i see. you have wrong connected to motherboard. do not connect like T7920 in picture above.I get this same error with a Lenovo P920. Booted to bios. Here’s how everything is connected.
there is "Dell T7920 Motherboard" in big friendly letters in the picture.I must say, it would help if the orientation of the photo of the Lenovo board matched the pinout of the Dell one.

OMGI'm very sorry, I'm getting an error when I open the document with the MCP2221 software, is it possible that I've filled in the wrong content of the document? Can you guide me a bit more? Thank you.
