Hi folks,

Hoping there are some people that have experience with the SAS HBAs made my by LSI in a consumer motherboard. Just got one to add 8 SATA ports to my Windows Server R2 Plex server. I am using it to boot my Dell OEM SATA2 Samsung PM810 (OEM 470) 128GB SSD. However, when I enable the onboard controller in AHCI mode it gets stuck in the BIOS process at "Verifying DMI App Pool..." If I switch it to IDE mode it boots to the SSD on the LSI controller fine. Any ideas on what I could change to allow the local controller to use AHCI? I am thinking about assigning the PCIe slot 2 (16x) which is where the HBA is connected to IRQ 5 manually since I disabled the onboard audio. Not sure if its a memory space, memory mapping, or IRQ issue. Just weird that IDE mode works but not AHCI.
