All,

Is anyone playing with VMware vCloud? I'm not sure how to manage it. I installed ESXi on 2 nodes in my C6100, installed the vCloud key but see no additional functionality in vSphere client. I attempted to import vcenter .ova, but it fails. I also imported vCloud director .ova. It imports fine but fails to boot. It appears to require vCenter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yea you will need to get vcenter up and running.
Try the import again, if it fails extract the OVA and import the OVF file.

Thank you for the reply. I'm attempting to import VMware-vcops-5.7.1.0-1166139-vapp which should be vCenter. I receive the following error when I attempt to import both the OVA and the OVF file. "this OVF package uses features that are not supported when deploying directly to an ESX host." It further states, "the OVF package requires support for vAps with multiple VMs".

VMware-vcops-5.7.1.0-1166139-vapp is VMware vCenter Operations Manager, not vCenter.

You want to use VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-5.1.0.10200-1235310_OVF10 which is VMware vCenter Server 5.1 Update 1b.
