468 drives available :)

Hopefully seller can go lower.

Could someone post drive statistics from this seller? Thanks

He guarantees 100% health, so should be pretty good. I'll post my drive tests once I receive them if no one else has a recent purchase from this seller.

I purchased 6 of these drives from this seller, through the eBay auction link on this post.

All 6 drives show warranty until August 2020. Of the 6 drives, this is how they faired:

C007C6A
4261 Hours
12 Power on
287 GB written

C0080A2
4261 Hours
12 Power on
290 GB written

C007EFF
4290 Hours
16 Power on
663 GB written

C008635
4290 Hours
15 Power on
663 GB written

C007487
4645 Hours
12 Power on
131 GB written

and last!

C007518
1764 Hours
7 Power on
ZERO GB WRITTEN !

I formatted one in Windows, and copied over some large files from my Intel 535 SSD, and on my i7 5820K system I got just under 500GB/sec total transfer rate. A simple test, not really sophisticated. These drives are an awesome deal, and they seem to perform well so far. Based on the above they're pretty much brand new, too!

Thanks @Locutis for the update on the drives.

I hope to build a couple of desktops for friend's kids.

I also wonder how the Intel S3710 would compare with samsung PM843T? for speed and endurance. (Mainly endurance)

Intel S3710 endurance would walk all over the PM843T for sure. I think intel is rated at 10x write daily while the samsung is only at 0.3, so If I do the math correctly with intel you can write 4Tb of data a day while with samsung only 300Gb of data during the duration of the warranty.

Thanks @azev for the feedback.

From what I have read that theS3710 has better endurance and write performance than the PM843T.

Though S3710 is $0.30 GB and PM8434T is around $0.17 GB and a bigger drive.
Decisions, decisions.....

in all honestly though in a desktop/laptop system, you will come no where near to the endurance rating of any enterprise ssd.
I'd like to consider my self a power user, and my pair of raid0 ssd on my desktop are Vertex4 256Gb with almost 3 years on time and only 8tb write so far. That is with me re-installing/upgrading windows and all my game and apps at least once a year. After all that it is still only 20 days in the life of S3710 ssd comparatively speaking. You will probably retire the pc before the ssd ran out of endurance hehehe.

IMHO the samsung PM drives are in the same level as intel 3500 series. Samsung SM drives are competitors of the 3700 series.

Between the 2, I would pick intel. In fact I have a bunch of intel 3500 and 3700 drives and none of the samsung in my 4 ESXi hosts.

Even 2.5tbw is very little on these drives. I believe they are rated for 4tb/ day.

Can anyone who has received the drives from the original seller advise if they came in sealed electrostatic bags or electrostatic bags with a electrostatic warning sticker? (Handy to know before asking freight forwarders to take pictures.) Many thanks

there are a few ebay listings from different sellers in this thread. i didn't buy from the ebay listing in post #1. but mine came with pink bubble wrap; my assumption is that the pink is indicative of some sort of anti-static property in the bubble wrap material.

Thanks @BLinux for your feedback. From others comments about purchasing Natex motherboards, they suggest that pink bubble wrap has anti-static properties. Freight handlers do not always understand about electrostatic sensitivity of some computer parts, which is a worry sometimes.

If anyone received these drives from seller listed in first post. I'd really appreciate your feedback if goods are sealed in electrostatic bags or in electrostatic bags with warning sticker. Cheers

@i386 Highly appreciate the pics.
Huge box!
I'll get 'shipito' to downsize my box as save some freight charges overseas.
Many thanks for your help! :)

No warning stickers just pink bubble wrap.

if that is from the seller in the 1st post, then the 'other' seller i bought from is just another account for the same company.... i got the same packaging, and the same "note" from "tech trade partners" ...
