I have an IBM BladeCenter populated with 14 blades, 4 PSUs, 2 blowers, Cisco Switch card, FiberChannel card, and the power cables.
I have replaced it with a smaller supermicro server that consumes way less power.
It's really quite a feat of engineering and i would hate to just scrap it. This would be best as a tinkering hobby machine. Idle power is between 1-2kw and it requires a 208-240V 30A power source. It weighs 300+ pounds so local folks only (Austin TX area). You'll need a pickup truck/van. I could meet someone at an HEB parking lot.
IBM used to make all the firmware and utilities available for download from their website, but they have gone the way of Cisco and require a maintenance contract for this obsolete machine. I do have a backup of most of the utilities and firmware. Be forewarned: this machine has a steep learning curve and many sources of frustration (proprietary console cables, java applet based admin consoles, many different hardware pieces to configure each with different credentials and passwords, etc). Each blade is pretty well configured with 64GB RAM and dual XEONs. I think some of the DIMMS are failing POST.
I also have an IBM FiberChannel storage array to go with it if interested. Management is Windows (and Linux i think?) only and also requires an active maintenance contract to download.

Since @manubit didn't want the 2x 1TB from my Synology NAS -- I have 2x 1TB "Green" drives from WD. I would prefer NOT to ship these since brand new from Amazon cost $30 vs shipping these using UPS costs $20. If you are in the Central NJ area, message me so we can meet up and I can give you these 2 drives.
