Can anyone confirm whether the 130W power supply with Dell P/N 0WRHKW (PA-4E) works with a 5070?

They seem a bit more common than the 65/90W variants due to their use with docking stations.

Power supply bricks - factory shipped (PA numbers are laptop equvalents):
  • 130W (PA-13: 19.5V @ 6.70A) - 063P9N (with Extended)
  • 90W (PA-10: 19.5V @ 4.62A) - 06KXKH (optional slim upgrade)
  • 65W (PA-12: 19.5V @ 3.34A) - 06TM1C (with slim)
The PA-4E seems to be a newer (or older?) replacement of PA-13 and should work. The AMD Radeon E9173 video card sold with the extended has a max. power draw of 35W.

The slim bricks are "squarish" rather than the rounded PA-10/PA-12 style sold with most Dell laptops, but the 130W look identical.

This info. may be old as it was collected over a couple years ago from receipts observed on ebay.

I believe the PA-4E is older than the PA-13, but concrete info is hard to find. The PA-4E is supposed to be compatible with accessories like the WD19 TB dock, which is from the same time period as the 5070. I am hoping it still has 1-wire on the middle pin and can communicate the wattage to the 5070.

I had tried a old 65watts dell laptop power supply on the 5070 extended, with a single m2.nvme to pcie card on the pcie slot. The m2 nvme ssd performed poorly. I changed the power supply back with the stock 130watts power supply, the ssd performed as what it should be.

I also had used a compatible 65 watts dell laptop power supply(non-dell brand) on another 5070 extended, with quad port i340-t4 OEM NIC. pfSense ran on this setup without issue for more than 1 year.

Just tell my experience on the power supplies on 5070 extended.

The Dell OEM PSUs communicate with the BIOS and if there is not enough power, turbo will be disabled. If you are adventurous, here is a website offering a BIOS which disables the check.

One thing to keep in mind is the cooling sucks, they overheat if you breathe on them. And there's no practical way to improve the cooling.
