Yeah... I recently resurrected my old nappit from a possibly dead MB to another MB that I have handy, and I am thinking of upgrading to newer version

Given how old mine is, is the upgrade process still applicable?

  • # beadm create <appropriate-backup-name>
  • # pkg set-publisher -r -O OmniOS r151046 core omnios
  • # pkg set-publisher -r -O OmniOS r151046 extra extra.omnios
  • # pkg update -f -r --be-name=r151046
  • init 6
Anything I should watch out for for this upgrade?

Thanks

I’d recommend checking hardware compatibility first, then backing up the current configuration before upgrading. A gradual upgrade would be the safest approach.
