Hi!
The goal is to upgrade my existing R900 with mobo which supports AMD Ryzen CPU and still use backplane for connecting 5 x 3.5" SATA drives controlled by HBA in IT mode.
Wondering if you know the description of pinouts for signal connectors on the backplane of R900?
Please find details on Dell forum posted Re: Dell R900 backplane pinouts.

Thanks in advance!

The motherboard in the R900 is a custom shape, with custom mounting methods, with custom slot spacings, with custom power connectors, with custom IO connectors, with custom... well everything.

There is not going to be a single AMD Ryzen board that is going to fit in the case without extensive modifications, and short of designing a board yourself, you're not going to be able to adapt said motherboard to all the interfaces in the case.

I'm struggling to understand why you would want to do this, when you can get plenty of cheap 4u cases that will take 5x3.5" drives....
