Hey everyone,
I need your collective wisdom so I don't waste half my life researching.
A couple of years ago I purchased a Supermicro X8DTE-F and two X5570's for my vSphere home lab. I was looking for quiet and cool and not too concerned with performance and it's was especially nice because of all the fricken PCI-E slots.

Its been great until 6.7 came out and since its not supported, I'd like to "upgrade".
Any thoughts? My main concern is cool and quiet and at least 3 PCI-E slots. (at least x8)

I just did this upgrade. Went with a X9DRH-iF. Found the deal here. $89 delivered. Added a couple of E5 2680v1's and 96GB of RAM. Nice upgrade. Ended up using the X8DTE-F in another spare box I had so it didn't go to waste. :)

 X8DTE-F is good board. I'd keep running it if it weren't for VMWare.
