Hello Folks,

I'm trying to find another Supermicro board to replace this one, X10SL7-F , as I purchased it on the deals forums before really scoping out my project. I'm not realizing I should have purchased a board with more PCIe slots for ZSF cache drives, 10Gbe adapters, HBA/Raid cards, etc. because this one barely fits the required HBA and 10Gbe card. The main goal is to spend as little as possible and be able to use my current CPU: E3-1241 v3 and Either the 32GB of UDIMM I have for this board, or the tons of DDR3 PC3-10600R I have.

Use case is not set, but I've been using it to burn in new drives using Windows apps, and I might use it for ZFS for a mix of SSD and HDD shared storage, etc., etc..

Any recommendations? Or is there a simple way to find all the SM boards that run my CPU and start hunting all over eBay for them?

If you wish to keep your current CPU and UDIMM memory, the choice is limited by the CPU which offer only 16 pci express 3.0 lenaes. So any expansion is limited by this number. You could take a look at Supermicro motherboard matrix to look which motherboards best fit your needs: Motherboards Matrix | Supermicro

Another ooption is to use the DDR3 PC3-10600R, if you have more than 32GB available and find used motherboard and Xeon E5 processor (but your power consumption will be greater).
