Please keep in mind that my prices are never going to be rock bottom but are super competitive compared to OEM eBay prices. I ship professionally and carefully pack my drives. All drives have been handled carefully from the moment they were unpacked from the vendor to the time they were replaced to a larger size. You get what you pay for. Any drive listed with warranty is a retail drive that comes with manufactures warranty and is NOT OEM. I've never had an issue sending a HGST/WD drive in for replacement. Please see buyer feedback on this thread.

    1x HGST/WD HC510 HUH721008AL5201 SAS3 8TB Retail Warranty (3-4+ years left, lightly used) ($160 each + shipping)

    9x Seagate V5 ST8000NM0075 OEM SAS3 8TB HDD ($125 each + shipping)

    WTB/WTT: BPN-SAS3-216EL2

Shipping: USPS or Fedex (my preference), not a big fan of UPS.
Ship from location: Palos Verdes Estates, CA

    Thanks everyone!

Do you know if the SAS3 HGST 10TB drives will be compatible with a sas2 backplane in a supermicro chassis?

What controller would one need to get the most out of that Samsung PM1725b?

That's the great thing about NVMe- you don't need a controller it's straight to the PCI bus.

It's unreal how much cheaper 10TB drives are when they're sas. :( You can actually buy a controller and still be ahead.
