Hi!

I just need some new fiber cables and saw that FS.com has Uniboot-cables that are not that expensive.

What would you choose for 40GbE connections over single mode fiber?
Uniboot or "classic" fibers within the rack?

And a second question:
In which diameter do you buy your fibers? 2mm? 3mm? 0.9mm?

Thank you for your help!

Compared with “classic” fiber cables, uniboot fiber cable occupies less space during installation, with its special connector. For me, if there are numbers of cables in the 40GbE connection, I would choose uniboot fiber, as you said, they are not expensive. :)

Hi!

Thank you, but at the moment, I do not know, If i want to go on ordering at FS.com. I hat some broken fibers in the last shipment and there reaction was just ridiculous. I really had to discuss about some cables of hundreds...

...not yet. The "damaged cables" have been standard-fibers - not uniboot.
