Hello,
I have a new Supermicro X11SAT-F which I am trying to use with an E3-1275V6 CPU. Unfortunately the server refuses to boot and emits 5 short beeps followed by a long beep. The server is however reachable via IPMI and it shows PE--SB Initialization 02 (screen shot attached).

The bios is 2.0b (build time 05/19/2017) which should support the V6 processor. Any idea what could be wrong?

The memory i am using is Micron MTA36ASF2G72PZ-2G1B1

Thanks

The BIOS is telling you that it does not detect your Memory :)

Is the Memory you used on the HCL? Do you have some other memory you can try to compare it with?

I didn't bother checking last night, but the MTA36ASF2G72PZ-2G1B1 is indeed RDIMM. E3 processors want Unbuffered Memory (UDIMM), not Registered :)
