Backing up main desktop pc now to install 17.10 in a little while or in the am.

Already installed it on an older test pc and seems to be a nice upgrade.

Going to rearrange my drive configuration.

Going from a single 256 gig Intel ssd running 17.04 to:

256 gig Intel SSD will be /root and swap.
480 gig Samsung will be /home
2 TB Hitatchi will be /home/me/data

And it that works out ok 'I will install 17.04 server on all my mining nodes with the 250 gig WD used hard drives I have coming Monday, they will replace a motley collection of drives from 80 gig to 1 tb in those nodes so they will be identical now.

The install of 17.10 on my dual E5-2667 V3 pc was fairly painless.

Yes I know that 17.10 uses a swap file now but I have been using a swap partition for decades and I was not ready to stop.

Installing my programs, I forgot how many things I had installed/configured since I installed 17.04 on this pc and reinstalling and reconfiguring is taking a while.
