I remember like 3-6 years ago Tyan was raging along. Now they're really diminished in the market. I saw the review on the front page today. Why have they left the market?

Not sure, their boards are as good as any other brand really. It's hard to break into the USA markets tho and they might have turned into more a solutions provider.
I ran into them at Nvidia GTC 2015 and they had a big E7 system there, very much like Intel's.
