shows these messages on the BIOS screen:
sec microcode not found
sec microcode not loaded
and a post code of DEAD
I am not 100% certain about why this happened and when, the system used to work just fine.I think it started doing this after a power outage.
Could it be bad CPU? I already tried replacing RAM and PSU, cleared CMOS. I also flashed BIOS again via BMC and it seems to have completed successfuly, BIOS version has not changed in IPMI because I assume that needs a successful post. running this CPU: 100-000000057
Thoughts?

with luck only corrupted BIOS content. reflash from IPMI.

have overseen this. strange then.

correct.
same errors after flash ?
Correct, I am trying to flash older versions now. since I am using a QS CPU.

My bad, I didn't include the entire model number. it's AMD Eng Sample: 100-000000057-04_31/22_N
tyan may have removed QS microcode from BIOS, try older but 7002 support.
edit: QS 100-000000057-04 should be B0 and final stepping.

Older BIOS that is available on their website isn't working, another thing I Noticed is no display from IPMI.
I tried BMC update as well.

you need at least V2.00.
maybe try cheap 7001 cpu to check health of motherboard.

sec microcode not found

these are thrown by linux at missing latest MCU update(can be disabled)
result of flash old BIOS.

but "DE AD" is another thing.

I had a Tyan S8030 that would get stuck on DE AD during memory training. It turned out to just be very particular about mounting pressure. After some tuning and ensure the sides of the processor weren't lifting due to too much pressure in the middle I was able to boot. Though I was using a production CPU, not a QS or ES part.

This happened without any changes to the system after a sudden power off.
Do you mean cooler mounting?

It happened after moving my system into a new rack. Something about moving it around screwed up the cooler mounting pressure.

Does anyone know if these boards are capable of running ES CPUs? VIV5G to be exact. I could not find a BIOS version that works

Thank you, Will be trying the provided BIOS soon. just tested the CPU on another motherboard and I can finally confirm that it's not the CPU that's causing issues.
no difference. I am flashing the BIOS through IPMI and it completes successfully, not sure if it can be trusted. The original BIOS this motherboard had is v8.709
