Bought two (2 x $160 each) of the P3605s last year from the same seller and they were low hours, well packed, no worries.

How hot do yours get? From the specs, seems like these might run a bit toasty when they're not idling.

Even at the 95% (or more) life remaining specified in the listing, they've still got at least 5 times the endurance (relative to capacity) of anything else I'm using right now. So, with my my normal use patterns, I figure they would probably probably last till the sun goes cold.

The 3.2s appear to be Oracle drives. I would be concerned about getting firmware. I believe those are Samsung 1725s, which had a pretty bad bug in the original firmware.

These run very cool...Have one in a TrueNAS box together with a Radian RMS-200. It never gets above 43C. Idle it's between 34-36C. The RMS-200 hits 49-50C under heavy load.

Noticed that the 3.2TB isn't on there :)

Picked up quite a few from them there on the other account normally 1-2 bids getting them from $149-160 typically.

Those P3600 series appear to be P3605 (pics) - Oracle drives/firmware, write optimized. I've not had any problems with them and am running on the shipped firmware. I've purchased from the seller (Buybest) on more than a couple of occasions. Always well packed. I've also exchanged a few messages on the bay looking for specific items. Seems like nice folk there.

Maybe a dumb question but kinda related to this post. if the drive is PCIe but in 2.5 factor is it backwards compatable with Sata you just don't get the Full PCI bandwidth so its either a 6Gb Sata or if its in 12Gb sas? or it just doesn't work
