I know HP bought Teradici and made PCoIP more of a software thing rather than requiring a hardware card.

Is it still worth using for remote desktops these days? I don't think the old hardware cards can do 4k60

Teradici is dead. I’ve found regular RDP and VMware Blast to beat the pants off of PCoIP. Teradici said they would enable 4K60 on the hardware cards, but then backtracked.

HP's software based solution Zcentral seems a lot better than regular RDP and even vmware blast. Highly configurable from the client to prefer latency or beauty.

I'm currently supposed to be setting up a trial and can comment back once we're using the boxes in anger vs the demos I've interacted with.

TBH I don't understand why they bought Teradici, maybe it's patents and expertise but the hardware I think is basically dead.
