Wondering if anybody here can point me in the right direction as I've been banging my head against this for the better part of a week now.
I came across a video by Art of Server, iirc, about crossflashing an x9 board. Now it's got me trying to crossflash this onboard 2208 so I can free up a slot. I've crossflashed aic boards before on a spare machine but, this specific x9 board doesn't seem to have a viable way to boot into FreeDOS. It looks like UEFI is the only option.
Following advice from a bunch of different sources, I've tried accessing the card from a live Ubuntu 20.04 USB I have. Lspci shows it but megarec won't run. I'm currently trying to build a WinPE USB to see if that might work.
Has anybody else attempted this on this board or another that seems to be strictly UEFI only? I'd love some pointers.
If nothing else, I guess I can live with the HBA card I have.
