And here I was on my way here to post this deal. :p

I nabbed one at $120. Considered getting a second one at that price, or should have offered $100 each for two. Seller accepted my initial offer so fast it made me second guess myself...

If it's what it's supposed to be, these are hot prices IMHO. This is the board I singled out as my top pick.

does the onboard LSI 2308 chipset allow the SAS connectors to be used in IT mode?
Manual says IR mode for this board (IT mode for the JBOD version), but IR can be used for pass through. So...not sure about IT mode. I'd hazard a guess that you could flash it.

EDIT: Google tells me this is easily done: Flash LSI 2308 to IT-mode on a SuperMicro X10SL7-F mainboard – Widodh

EDIT2: Even closer to home:
Flashing the LSI2308 on a SuperMicro X10SL7-F motherboard to IT mode: where is firmware version 16?
Flashing the LSI2308 on an X9SRH-7F to IT mode?

EDIT3: Download the latest firmware from Supermicro's site (ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/SAS/LSI/2308/Firmware/IT/). There are instructions inside.

You get the idea, I'm done. :p

Could these be used in a sc113 1U or is that asking too much?
It will fit, but you're going to have issues with airflow on account of the location of CPU1 (and associated RAM slots) since normally those chassis don't have fans that far down (just blanks for cable passthrough to the front) and routing the SAS cables is going to be a real pain (and will impede airflow). I'd recommend against it.

Waiting for answer at 130$ offer (2 boards).
Edit : My offer got accepted.
I could be wise to change title to Europe because even with import fees + shipment at 200€ it's a really good offer.

BTW there is only one left.

What are you guys buying this for? It is no good for a workstation due to the lack of X16 slot.

I tired a lowball offer @ $100, no dice, didn't really need it but for $100 I thought I'd at least try to to play the 'how low can you go' game :-D

I lost lol

Just got ship notification. The picture does match the X9, so I'm not worried about it.

I hope they are all working as I doubt now they have any replacements to give.
