Hi Guys,
I just did an UEFI Update on my Supermicro X11SSA-F Board (v2.1) and no longer have my gentoo installation available as boot option (sitting on a M.2. NVMe Intel SSD). I had this issue before but now I am not able to solve it. The Gentoo installation is an UEFI Installation!
What I did so far:
- Change Boot in Bios to UEFI Only
- Set Storage Option ROM Policy to EFI (actually I only had the option to set that for my addin HBA not the board itself)
- Booted SystemrescueCD in UEFI mode and reinstalled grub2 (UEFI).
I also cannot add a manual boot option anymore (which I did before and set the path manually for my Gentoo EFI Installation. I only have the option to delete Boot Entries (there also my manual "gentoo" entry shows up but it is not selectable as a boot option).
So basically I guess the BIOS doesn't see the M.2. at all.
Please advise!
Thx
Chris
