Hi there,
I need to match the following trifecta and make them play nice together:
- motherboard: Supermicro X11SPM-TF
- CPU: Intel Xeon Silver 4114 SR3GK 10-Core 2.20GHz 13.75MB LGA3647 CPU
- memory module: Supermicro Certified MEM-DR464L-HL03-LR26 Hynix HMAA8GL7CPR4N-VK 64GB DDR4-2666 ECC LRDIMM
I have doubts about the memory channel base frequencies:
- the memory is listing a 2666MHz maximum frequency. The keyword is maximum.
- the cpu is listing a 2400MHz maximum frequency for the memory channels.
- the mobo, I assume, can accommodate both.
So the question is: is the mobo capable to downscale this specific memory module to 2400MHz in order to make it match the CPUs frequency?
