Hello all,

This is a Hail Mary play here, but I recently purchaced a Supermicro X11DPH-i with 2 Xeon Gold 6138 Processors. i have received it and i keep getting the same fault no matter the process of Troubleshooting. 5 short, 1 long, signifying- Memory error, No memory detected in system. as per the SuperMicro Manual. now i have done the old swap ram as i had some other DDR4 2666 ECC laying there but no spare processors. and no matter the lay out of ram. its still no go.
question is did i get scammed or is there something im missing here with this board that isnt documented.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

you need RDIMM, ECC is not enought.
if you have installed the processors yourself, check guides for proper cpu installation.
pls provide pictures, maybe someone can see the issue.

Pull the CPUs and get a magnifier, look very carefully at each pin in the sockets to make sure they are clean and not bent. Clean the connection side of the processor too.

Make sure you have the correct type of ram, as mentioned, these require RDIMM or LRDIMM. You might try with just a single processor and single module if the board allows this configuration. Looking at the picture, this might require 2 matched memory modules per processor (black slots?)
