Hi!

I am Scandinavian so I do apoligize if my English is a bit Norwenglish =) but I'll do my best.

I got this board in a home lab and it's been working good in the past.
All of a sudden, after a powerdown to change a HDD I can't get it to boot, and not only that. No beep, no screen, keyboard not getting LED at boot.
BMC LED (heartbeat) is indication it's OK and fans start spinning OK.

What I've tried so far:

* Both internal and external gfx card - not working
* Reseating and changing RAM and checking CPU pins - seems OK, not working
* Tried connecting another small beep speaker
* Tried disconnecting everything, including RAM (according to manual) but I don't get any beep indicating error.
* Changed battery on mobo

Seems I've depleted my knowledge base =) and I tried googling similiar problems without finding a solution.
If anyone got any ideas I will be grateful??

Best Regards

Speakers on SM boards have to have a jumper in place to function.
Maybe yours is missing that jumper?

What is the ipmi postcode snoop saying?
Do you have VIN from the main CPU VoltageRegulator?

The ipmis sensors are probably not working at this point, thank SM for that ...

Have you tried clearing CMOS and re-flashing the Bios?

Cheers and much success!

the PCH usualy keeps powered all the time if you not turn off the PSU or remove AC.
now the PCH Firmware (BIOS flash chip) is loaded after months the first time from scratch.
try re-flashing the whole BIOS chip.
