I have some weird conflict between my new Supermicro X10SRH-CLN4F mobo and Asus Xonar DX sound card. No matter in which slot the card is installed, it is identified by the OS properly but does not produce any sound. The OS is Windows 7 x64. When I try to test Speakers in Control Panel/Sound, Windows endlessly loops the animation for the left speaker without making any sounds. (Normally it should display the animation for the left speaker for a couple of seconds while playing a sound, then do the same with the right speaker.)

Just to eliminate OS/Driver issue, I made a fress install of Windows 8.1 x64 and the result is exactly the same (no sound and endless animation of the left speaker when I press Test)

The same audio card works flawlessly in my other PC with Gigabyte motherboard, which is also running Win 7 x64.

What could be the culprit? Should I give up and buy another sound card? Will Creative Audigy Rx work?
