This is a TrueNAS server that was using all Seagate Ironwolf 10TB drives (model ST10000VN0004).
One of the drives failed, and the RAID array is running in Degraded state at this time. I replaced the failed drive with ST10000VN0008 which is the current model of the same drive.
The problem is the SAS2308-1 adapter can't see the replacement drive. So TrueNAS can't see it either.
Plug the old broken drive in, the adapter can see it. Plug the new drive in, nothing. New drive confirmed to be 100% functional and passes all SMART testing in Seatools on another PC.
The adapter loading screen shows:
Avago Technologies MPT SAS2 BIOS
MPT2BIOS-7.39.02.00 (2015.08.03)

The MPT Firmware revision is 20.00.07.00-IT.
Is there a new firmware I can update to that will fix this? Thank you for any help!
The yellow shows the differences between old (0004) and new (0008).
I see row #15 is different. Surprised that row #17 shows lower SATA version on newer drive.
Row #20 specification also different.
