Hello,

I have been scouring the internet attempting to find internal replacement power connectors for the SYS-E300-9D Supermicro server. This is an 8-pin connector that connects between the mainboard and the external chassis. It connects to an external DC, locking, power brick, part number MCP-250-10128-0N.

I have attached pictures of what the cable itself looks like.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you,

Vincent

Have you asked Supermicro / A Supermicro distributor?

Often they have really acceptable prices for accessories / replacement parts

I think the cable itself is somewhat easy to reproduce, the molex side you can re-use, but looks like an EPS12V connector. It only carriers +12V and Ground. The DC barrel connector is probably standard too; if you know the dimensions they are probably easy to find at Mouser, Farnell, LCSC etc.

There is not a whole lot that can go wrong here, and the connectors are cheap enough that you can just buy a bunch.

On the other hand, maybe you aren't comfortable with a soldering iron and shrink tubing, in which case you can still have someone else make the cable.
