Is the 84 watt ac adapter sufficient to run c2758 and d-1521 platforms with a nic AIC and 1 storage device?

Can anyone provide the part number for the atx to dc converter? I can't seem to find it on any of the chassis pages on SM website

84w should be fine, is ok with d-1518 and d-1521 but watch the add in card usage.
If your buying new why not get the 120w adapter ?

Hi,

I replaced the stock fans on E300-9D Xeon D2123 with the noctua ones 40x20 PWM and it works like a charm on ESXi with 7VM.

All sensors are green and it's very silent.

Useful to know, I didn’t think those fans would have enough static pressure to do the job. But there is also the option of the 8k Supermicro / nidec fans that are between the Noctua and the shipping loud fans.

How about the temperature?

I tried 3 noctua 40x20 PWM fans + SNK-C0057A4L Heatsink, the temperature is around 63C while it is idle (environment around 30C in summer). It is too high to run it 7x24
