Hello,

I updated the BIOS of Supermicro X11SAT-F motherboard using the IPMI webpage and followed that by updating the IPMI firmware. After these operations my original mac address was wiped and replaced it with,
System LAN1 MAC address : 88:88:88:88:87:88

Both BIOS and IPMI fine. The BIOS version is correct, but the IPMI still shows as version 1.15 instead of the newer 1.50.

I do have the original mac address. How can i revert back to my original mac address?

Thanks

I flashed the ipmi again using,

./AlUpdate -f ../../../SMT_X11_150.bin -i kcs -r n

and this time around IPMI did update. The MAC is still incorrect though.

I flashed the BIOS again, no luck. Also tried a utility called Eeupdate.exe which can write the MAC address. Unfortunately, the utility did not list the i219LM card although it did list the i210 nic. I suspect the Eeupdate is too old to recognize the new chipset.

I had that once and SM support provided an eprom file to flash which resolved the issue. It was board specific or I'd provide it
