I am really not sure what happened here.
I have not updated anything on my home servers so I went opening the IPMI interface as usual, got the usual Update java warning, remote control, console redirection:

Launch console -> launch.jlnp is downloaded as usual (until here everything is normal)

Then I open the file and get the following (new):

Clicking Details produces this:

and

I'm lost... I have also tried an old Windows 10 machine of mine where (as far as I can remember at least) I haven't updated Java in a while. Same error everywhere.
Of course the host is added to the Java's control panel Security tab in both http and https.

Any help please? I have been tinkering with ipmyview as well but the console still doesn't work and apparently I need a license to be able to access the HTML5 interface?

Thank you so much for the quick answer! I have attempted the first method and cleared the cache just afterwards. The issue "moved" which is perhaps already a positive thing. I'm still confused why the popup refers to certificate while I'm using http... perhaps it's the app certificate?

sure.
validating app certificate can be disabled too (java sec. settings)
maybe the BMC FW is corrupted ?

jdk.security.caDistrustPolicies=SYMANTEC_TLS

?

I doubt the BMC to be an issue as I'm experiencing this from multiple clients towards multiple servers.

Well... it seems like I solved this removing java and installing jre-8u341.
I have also disable the certificate checks from the control panel settings...

Is there any alternative for me to remotely administer these motherboard without having to relay on Java?

Thanks!

No. Java is the crap many have selected to use for this.

Dunno if they use other stuff on new items.

If you use IPMIView instead of the web interface, you'll run into a lot less problems with Java since it's bundled with an appropriate JRE.

Back when I still had X9 boxes, I used IPMIview. It had a "burned in" version of JRE that worked fine.
