Supermicro H14SSL-NT: No POST with ES CPU

I bought an AMD EPYC 9535 ES CPU that doesn't POST on my Supermicro H14SSL-NT motherboard. I waited for 30 mins and the screen stayed blank.

CPU details:
OPN: 100-000001247-12
Stepping: BX
Date code: 2336

Motherboard details:
BIOS revision: 1.7
BMC firmware revision: 01.01.10.01

However, my other AMD CPU, an 9275F boots just fine. I have ensured that the CPUs were seated and torqued properly.

I'd appreciate any assistance in troubleshooting this! Would an earlier BIOS revision help or am I looking at returning the CPU?

try BIOS 1.0d or BIOS 1.0
you probably can't downgrade to 1.0 - just try.
generaly: avoid supermicro if you want to run ES.

i can only say avoid SM because they have worst ES support and BIOS is protected (Root of Trust)

The vendor said their H13SSL-N worked. I have an ASRock Rack Genoa 2d24g-2l+ and the Turin version. I'll try the latter 2 boards and report back, else it looks like time to expand the fleet to include Gigabyte

H13 is ot H14. SM removed microcodes in BIOS 1.7
H14SSL BIOS 1.0d has ES microcodes but only the existance means not it it supported,
tried BIOS 1.0d ?

I have good news. The ASRock Rack Genoa 2D24G-2L+ motherboard happily accepted the 2 ES 9535's! That solved my problem entirely and I haven't tried downgrading to BIOS 1.0d on the H14SSL-NT. Thank you @RolloZ170 !

i guess with next update the fun stops, but fortunaly ASRock Rack rarely provides new BIOS

thx, support depends on Platform Boot Policy / Boot Guard configs.

Hmm. I was able to run H14SSL-NT with the ES CPU, BIOS 1.7. Although HWiNFO lies about the clocks, it only gets to 4.1GHz.
I would love it to get to 10GHz but oh well...

OP has Bx stepping, yours is a Cx stepping.

on LGA4710 Granite Rapids Platform even this has an end, cpuid A06D1 stepping B1 does not work on supermicro, final prod. is A06D1 B2
