I think in all my time repairing such stuff as a hobby, 10+ years, i have never seen schematics for Supermicro.

There may have been a Boardview or two for some odd things but nothing relevant.

Why are you asking?

Where are you located and what exactly is broken?
What are the symptoms?
Have you checked the usual suspects on those boards?
The Wafer Packaging DC converters around the BMC?

Brisbane, Australia. When power is applied, the LED LE1 flashes about 33-35 times at approximately 3 times a second and there's no boot or IPMI DHCP (but NIC has physical link light on, my UniFi dream machine can see the link. but there's no DHCP request coming from the board). I can't elicit any beeps or different activity/symptoms via CPU present/removed, RAM present/removed.

I gave the board to a local business who traced a short to the ASPEED chip, they replaced the chip, but there are more shorts they cannot diagnose, hence asking for the schematic. Fortunately for me, if they can't fix a board that you bring to them, the owner only has to pay a $49 'quote rejection' fee. (It sounds like they have spent about 3-4hrs on the board, and I only have to pay $49.)

What are the usual suspects, if there information that I could pass to this repair place, that would be great!

you have possible the usual Voltage Reg issue U4,U5,U6.
damaged mechanical while PCIe card swap/insert oder overheat.

P/N is TPS62088YFPR
they are sliced out of the wafer.
it is a known issue with early H12SSL revisions, but a mechanical damage is not under warranty.

Thanks @RolloZ170, this board was damaged by a short from a PCIe card bracket accidentally touching the motherboard in this area. I had a close look at all the components in the suspect area and I couldn't see any physical damage (cracks in components or solder joints/pads, scratches on components or PCB tracks), so I'm pretty sure that the fault on this board is electrical in nature.

It was great that a short was found in the ASPEED chip, but replacing the chip didn't resolve the problem :(

some have ripped of resistors by installing a PCIe card, worth a check.
and the H12 runs Root of Trust, maybe the ASPEED need proprietäry boot loader from factory.

the crap TI VRs can damage the BMC by overvoltage. read the thread, some measured voltages over the set of Vrs.

I have a case where the damage made one fail catastrophically with 3.3V shooting into the BMC and killing it.

Worked on my H12DSI, so not the AST2500 but still ROT.

Good that you looked but those chips are sooo small that damage to them is really really hard to see.
Especially when the board is dusty or otherwise dirty.

And exactly that points at those Regulators.

Are you aware what a highside short is?
Is the shop aware?
Have they checked for highside shorts on those regulators?

On the H12SSL they seem to be fed by 5VS and i recently had a case where that went streight into the BMCs DRAM.
