Found (and bought a bunch of ) those - I think they should be the same as the FAN-0074L4, at least couldnt find FAN-0074 alone.

These are the fans from the "quiet" workstation chassis like 743, 745 or 747. They run at 5k rpm max and have enough static pressure to cool components.
If you want to mod you chassis without putting your components at risk and keep the ability to hot-swap these are the fans for it.

You mean about the 74L4? Its the goto fan when trying to silence SM chassis (unless you need the high pressure)

Not directly. But they are intended to replace 126's for me too... time to Dremel

Can you explain a little bit further? Do you by any chance know what's the spec of the fans?
I'm planning to use them in a 2U chassis and the minimum for my server is 20% PWM so it will be around 500RPM

And I received mine - 2 of them are labelled FAN-0074, all others FAN-0074L. Actual fans inside have the same number/specs.
