I'd imagine this is basically the same motherboard reviewed on STH but with the 2358 instead of the 2758:

New Supermicro A1SRM LN7F 2358 Motherboard Full MFR Warranty | eBay

$399 right now. The C2358 is 2C 2T. 1.7ghz base 2.0ghz turbo. It has the communicaitons QuickAssist, VT-x and runs at only 7W. 1 channel memory only.

Yea its expensive but with QA and AESNI you might be able to do some intriguing things with the board.

That one also has half as many DIMM slots from the picture I see only 2.

Once the price comes down more could make a really nice little low powered PFsense router

I have to say, I do really like these boards. Cost wise, figure these have another $100 or so worth of NICs onboard and still have the PCIe slot available. With the current prices of the A1SRM-2758F though, they may provide a better value.

People looking to get these boards at a not so rip off price contact SuperBiiz that's who SuperMicro put me in touch with the A1SRM LN7F 2758 should be here in about 2 weeks. Just over 400$ shipped.

That sounds more like what I'd expect price wise. I do get some product early from these expensive vendors just to try out. $400 is much better.
