How loud are Supermicro 2U Chassis? I have a 3U that is used for file server/backup duties and its relatively quiet when not being hammered. The CPU has its own active heatsink which likely helps. Any experience with the 2U chassis and getting them relatively quiet?

The 3U chassis use those same 80mm fans. I was thinking since there is less volume inside the 2U's, they may be a bit more efficient with the air flow through the case. Maybe that is not currect.

I just put together a server using a SM 825TQ chassis Using a X10SRH-CF and 2 SQ PSU's. It's as quiet as a 2U will ever get. My switch is louder and drowns out the server noise.
