Specs for the X11DPU say "Networking options provided via Ultra Riser". I can't see any NICs, apart from the IPMI so it looks like you'd need to get the riser too.

It actually is listed as SYS-229U-TN24R4T-2-IN001 on their direct page, so looks my first result was wrong

Not sure how you would coax 24nvme of that system though?

=> BPN-NVME3-216EL 2 PCIe Gen3x16 input to PLX9765 to support 12x NVMe port

It looks like a 2029U-TN24R4T but with 2 x BPN-NVME3-216EL, 1 x AOC-2UR6N4-i4XT-P and the NVMe cabling absent (at least).

edit: This is starting to look like a good buy. The NVMe expanders all appear to be present with 4 x NVMe from each processor expanding to two 12x NVMe sub-boards on the front panel. The lack of built in NIC isn't a big problem assuming the P1 riser included exposes another slot or 2.

I hate this trend to add fake photos and say "product might be different" especially with crappy descriptions :(

I have ordered one of those right now, and the 4x10Gbit card, from the posting above.

Will take some pictures, if someone is interested.

Ah sorry forgot to update this - I emailed back and forth with the seller;

The pictures are basically accurate, the systems have cpu coolers and air channel, riser cards and nvme cables.
No Ultra Riser is intentional since that place is being used by another NVME Riser; also the ultra riser's network link shares lanes with two onboard nvme ports. They recommend to use a separate NIC.

Have not checked whether you actually need 2x4 NVME Uplinks to the 2 backplanes for bandwith...

Thanks for the update @Rand__

How many usable (internal and external) PCIe slots (and what speeds) are on the first CPU's NVMe riser?

I'm in too with few probably. I bet they dump it for the older v3-v4 systems because of Scalable Xeons crazy prices. And now we face it :D

They said 2* x16 total available, but I have not inquired more closely yet

Each BPN-NVME3-216EL has 4xNVMe inputs for 12 outputs
Yes I know, but is a 12:4 oversubcription necessary or would 12:2 suffice? And this is a PLX chip so does it actually get impacted by oversubscription?
