I know it's an ancient thread, but for posterity, I'd say that a year ago I bought Brother MFC-L3770CDW and it's been nothing but a workhorse for my home office. Quick to print, scan, mobile printing, wifi, fax. PC scanning. Purchased 3rd party/compatible high capacity toner from LD Products.
The only difference of using non-authentic toner is deep inside printer menus on toner life it says using non-original toner. No other differences at all.
It don't use it for photo printing, as I think that Costco printing works much better for me for both quality and cost.
